An H1B visa interview focuses on verifying your employer and employee relationship, your qualification, the legitimacy of your job role, etc., for which you are moving to the United States of America.
Common H1B visa interview questions typically cover generic questions such as the purpose of your visit, qualification-related questions and questions regarding your salary and your employer.
If you are someone moving out to the United States on an H1B visa, this blog will help you understand how the interview process works and what to expect during the interview.
An H1B visa is an employer-sponsored and non-immigrant type of visa, allowing workers or employees with specialised skills to work for organisations operating in the United States. Companies or other organisations typically provide this visa to employees or workers with skills in engineering, information technology, finance, medicine, research, etc.
If you are someone eligible for an H1B visa to work in the United States, you must note that it comes with an expiry. Generally, if you clear the H1B visa interview successfully, it stays valid for up to 3 years. However, it is renewable for up to 6 years, leading to a long-term stay in this country.
Thus, attending and clearing the H1B visa interview is crucial as your visa approval depends on the result of that interview.

In answer, state whether you intend to return to your home country (i.e. India) or mention if you will apply for an extension of the visa to your employer.
As an applicant, you must provide the appointment letter that you got from your employer, sponsoring the H1B visa, with other relevant details. These are usually printed on the company letterhead.
