A Malaysian visa is an official permit or document that enables foreign nationals to enter, tour, stay, or work in Malaysia. In 2023, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that Indians would not require a visa to enter Malaysia.
As of 2026, the Malaysian government has extended the visa-free entry for Indian passport holders until 31st December 2026. Meaning, to enter the country and stay up to 30 days, a Malaysia visa for Indians is no longer necessary. However, Indians must fulfil certain criteria.
