Why Can a Sri Lanka Visa Application Be Rejected?
-
1
Discrepancies in Passport : Any kind of discrepancy in the information given in the application with the information available on the passport, for instance, wrong passport numbers, typos in names, etc., is one of the main reasons for rejection of applications.
-
2
Incomplete/Blurred Document: If you are not uploading all necessary travel documents, or you have uploaded blurred images of your passport and other documents, then you will definitely be rejected. Consulates strictly require every page to be fully legible to verify.
-
3
Insufficient Funds : Visa officials ask for proof that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your visit. Not having sufficient funds or not explaining the large deposits on your bank statements will result in your visa application being refused.
-
4
Absence of Travel Plan : In case you do not provide proof of where you are going to stay, such as a hotel booking, your intentions of visiting are questionable, as the immigration department requires proof of when you will leave the country.
-
5
Unclear Visit Purpose : When your reason for visiting the country does not match the visa type you applied for, or your answers to the questions about your trip are confusing, the visa application will be rejected. Always provide a clear itinerary.

6
Damaged or Expired Passport: If you submit a passport which is either damaged or expired, your passport will be automatically rejected by the authorities. While checking your documents, if they see that your passport has expired, your passport will be automatically rejected.
